Green Ahalia explores conservation initiatives in Kodungalur

MES Asmabi College Professor Dr. Amitabh Bachan is well known for his efforts in ecorestoration, threat Assessment and IUCN Categorisation through their hornbill foundation. These are also our priorities. Accordingly Green Ahalia team, comprising Dr. K. Haridasan, Shaibu, and Sabik, visited MES Asmabi College on 25 February 2026 for a discussion and to have firsthand information. The team had a very fruitful interaction with Dr. Amitha Bachan, and his colleague Ms. Devika Anilkumar about their ongoing programmes and involvement in PBR preparation. The team also visited the RET (Rare, Endangered, and Threatened) plant nursery maintained in the campus and we were given seedlings of five species of Threatened plants.
