Green Ahalia adds an interesting plant to our thematic gardens

Euphorbia vajravelui Binojk.& N. P. Balakr. is a cactus like dwarf tree growing in arid dry zones. It is interesting because of the species that connects to a famous scientist Dr. Vajravelu of Botanical Survey of India who wrote the Flora of Palakkad. Dr. Haridasan brought this plant from his recent visit to JNTBGRI, Trivandrum. The uniqueness of this plant which is endemic to south western ghats is the flat and trigonous branches in the same plant.
