About Green Ahalia

Palakkad lying in the eastern part of the Palakkad gap of western ghats experiences slightly semi-arid conditions and the land scape looks mostly dry for most part of the year. The district though rich in bio-diversity has no single location where the bio resources is properly maintained as a germplasm.

Promoting conservation and sustainable use of botanical resources including ethnomedicinal plants for the welfare of community

Mission

Establish a world class ethnobotanic garden for education, research, conservation and sustainable use.

Themes

Our themes are. selected in such a way as to address the targets and goals. Our strategy is to suit our man power and resource to optimum and expand the themes year after year. Thus over the past 5 years or so, we could establish 44 themes. These themes cover broadly conservation, medical formulations, spiritual components, tradition and culture, unique resources groups and so on.
