Senior Scientists From JNTBGRI Visits Ahalia Campus

On 24th August 2022 Wednesday we had a visit of a team of Senior Scientists from Jawaharlal Nehru, Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute. The team included Dr. Dan Mathew and Dr. Saleem and a research scholar. Dr. Mathew presented to Green Ahalia a book on plants in the bible authored by him and Prof. D Mathew. He also gifted us saplings of Salacia chinensis a threatened plant. Green Ahalia members and OM Sri Sarath had interaction with the team led by Dr. Mathew Dan. They were taken around the thematic garden and our propagation and garden infrastructure. From their feedback recorded in the visitors register they expressed that they were extremely happy and could witness the amazing efforts by team Green Ahalia. They further added that “It is not only a boon to the student community and visitors but also to the mother nature”. Their words are indeed a motivation to the team to carry forward the mission to make campus greener through user-friendly and sustainable manner.
