Green Ahalia supports Establishment of Butterfly Garden at Government Victoria College, Palakkad

Green Ahalia, in collaboration with botany alumni Association VIBA and the NSS Unit of Government Victoria College (GVC), Palakkad, has established a butterfly garden on the college campus on 29th October 2026.The garden was formally inaugurated by Dr. K. K. Seethalakshmi, Research Director, IRTC, presided by Prof. Maya C. Nair, Principal of Government Victoria College. Dr. K. Haridasan delivered a presentation highlighting the importance of butterfly gardens in supporting butterfly diversity, conserving habitats, and promoting environmental awareness. Dr. Rekha Vasudevan felicitated the gathering. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Arolin and Soumya, NSS Coordinators. The initiative represents a significant step towards promoting biodiversity on the college campus and encouraging students to actively participate in nature conservation. The butterfly garden will also serve as a living learning space for students.
