Two Eminent Scientist at Green Ahalia

Green Ahalia greatly benefited from the visits of two most eminent Scientists who were much rewarded and recognised by the scientific community. We are refereeing to Dr. Dan Mathew (former Scientist, JNTBGRI) and Prof. Mamiyil Sabu (Emeritus Scientist at MBGIPS and former Head of the Department of Botany CU) on different days 25th and 27th September 2025 respectively as resource persons in the recently concluded Sahyadyuti 2025. Slightly differing from our usual visitor trail we took them to our off-campus plot at Chayathara which boasts of the conservation efforts by us. We could also focus them to the recent additions to our thematic gardens, Propagation facility, threatened plant collections, Seed museum, etc their presentation and topics dealt by them were of immense use to our team and the participants alike. More importantly they had shared some very practical and useful suggestions and tricks to maintain thematic garden plants. Prof. Sabu planted a sapling in our Smriti vatika as Dr. Dan Mathew did in an earlier occasion.
