First step towards Ahalia Biodiversity Museum

There are not many Biodiversity museums in the country. The state of Kerala has one at Vallakadvu. With this background Green Ahalia propose to establish a Biodiversity Museum focussing much on Western Ghats. Accordingly, On 11th October 2025 Green Ahalia organised a consultation meeting of experts on biodiversity at Ahalia campus which was attended by 7 experts and Green Ahalia team. Ms. Anagha team member made a presentation on establishment of the Museum. Basing on this the meeting discussed about the possible options, components and displays, Scope of the museum, areas to be covered, linkages, funding and so on. A number of suggestions emerged in the meeting which our team is compiling that will be incorporated into our concept note for preparation of a DPR. further meetings are going to consolidate the ideas and workout a strategy and action plan. Later few of the experts were taken on a visit to the theme gardens.
