Visit of the Director, Botanical Survey of India to Green Ahalia

Green Ahalia had the privilege of having Dr. Kanad Das, Director, Botanical Survey of India (BSI), accompanied by Dr. S. S. Hameed, Scientist-F & Head of Office, BSI Southern Regional Centre, in connection with the ABG Project on 09-09-2026.The dignitaries visited Green Ahalia’s thematic gardens, medicinal plant farm and conservatories and interacted with students, sharing insights on plant diversity, conservation, and environmental education.

A key highlight was the inauguration of “Prasavaraksha – A Garden of Plants for Mothers’ Health,” a new thematic garden showcasing plants traditionally associated with women’s health and maternal well-being.The visit marked a valuable exchange of knowledge and strengthened institutional engagement between Green Ahalia and BSI,further supporting collaborative efforts in plant conservation, research, and education.
