Green Ahalia Explores Ecological Restoration at Toyota Kirloskar Motor Ecoscape

A landscaping and garden expert Dr. Ganeshbabu drew our attention to the immense possibilities in ecorestoration and corporate landscaping with native plants and recreating ecosystems. With his help a Green Ahalia team visited the Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) car manufacturing unit at Bidadi Ecoscape at Bidadi, Bengaluru on 22nd July 2026, , to gain insights into ecological restoration and sustainable landscape management. The visit showcased TKM’s successful transformation of degraded land into a thriving biodiversity-rich landscape through scientific planning and stakeholder participation. The team explored diverse thematic zones, including Tropical Deciduous, Evergreen, Semi-evergreen, Conservation, Aquatic, Nursery, Timeline, and Climate Change gardens, observing best practices in habitat restoration, landscape interpretation, visitor engagement, and eco-friendly infrastructure. Interactions with the TKM landscaping team also opened avenues for future collaboration. The visit provided practical insights and innovative approaches that will support the continued development of Green Ahalia as a key partner in ecological restoration, sustainable landscaping, and public environmental awareness.
