IFGTB STRENGTHENS ONGOING PARTNERSHIP WITH GREEN AHALIA

On 14 May 2026, Dr. D.K.S. Shekar, Dr. Mayavel and Dr J.Soosai Raj from the Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding (IFGTB) an ICFRE institute, Coimbatore visited Ahalia campus. The objective of the visit was to initiate a collaborative partnership with Green Ahalia. The visit marked an important step towards strengthening scientific and conservation related initiatives.

The visitors were taken around by Green Ahalia team to all thematic garden and research plots located both in Chayathara, and the main campus. where the guests keenly observed the different research plots established in collaboration with IFGTB. During the visit, the guests met Dr. K. Haridasan, Bioresource Consultant of Green Ahalia along with our team members and discussed potential areas of scientific collaboration.

They appreciated the efforts taken to conserve and promote plant diversity in the campus and the efforts taken by Green Ahalia towards biodiversity conservation, environmental awareness and educational outreach.
