An expose to NEP

As part of linking present education with NEP, Green Ahalia organised an exposure visit to make students understand Local biodiversity and try their hand on vegetive propagation, nursery development and realise the ecoclimatic requirements for plants to ensure higher productivity. Our efforts in developing cultivation models to highlight resource augmentation and productivity was the highlight of the programme. For this event Botany graduate students from Department of Botany, Mercy College visited the Green Ahalia thematic gardens on January 19th, 2026. They were taken round the campus after a brief introduction to the Ahalia campus and a special session on practical trials for Vegetative propagation through different grafting techniques, stem cuttings, air layering, and germination trials. By visiting our seed museum, they got an idea of different seed types and dispersal adaptations. Students got the opportunity to visit the Ahalia Medicine Manufacturing unit (AMMU) thereby learning the utilisation of medicinal plant resources.
