Hands on training- on Vegetative Propagation techniques for GVC students

On request from the HoD, Botany, Green Ahalia organised a Demonstration of Vegetative propagation techniques on 7th January 2026. A total of 54 students and 3 faculties participated in it. The demonstration was done by Mr. Pragatheesh who efficiently handled the practical with active involvement of the students focusing on grafting, budding and layering techniques. The students and faculty were taken around our thematic gardens too, where Dr. Alen from GVC faculty provided informative descriptions of the plants especially the Cryptogams in our garden. Apparently, the visitors enjoyed the visit and found it very useful as mentioned by Dr. Rasmi in her remarks and greatly appreciated Green Ahalia works on different aspects of biodiversity conservation and sustainable utilisation of resources. The team left the campus with a promise to visit again.
