Zingiber expert Visits Green Ahalia

Dr. V. S. Hareesh, Scientist at MBGIPS, Calicut along with his two team members visited Green Ahalia garden. A very reputed scientist, he is the first Keralite to receive the INSA Young Scientist Award in Biology, as well as the Kerala State Young Scientist Award. During his visit, we were able to get Taxonomic identification most of the previously unidentified species in the Ginger House. He took a tour of the various thematic gardens, conservatories, and the propagation unit. Dr. Hareesh appreciated our efforts in developing conservation strategies and also conducted a survey of aquatic plants in and around the campus. Our team member Mr. Midhun accompanied him in the field visits.
