Dr. A. A. Mao, Director, BSI visits Green Ahalia

It is with Great excitement and happiness, we share the visit of Dr. A. A. Mao, Director, Botanical Survey of India on 23rd April 2025. In this visit, he was accompanied by Dr. C. Murugan, HOO, BSI, Kolkata. They were taken all around the theme gardens and conservatory plots at Chaaythara. We also got a chance to get a threatened plant (Pterocarpus santalinus L.f.) planted in Smrithivaatika. He expressed his nice words and appreciated our efforts in theme garden establishment. In addition, Dr. A. A. Mao and his team had a brief meeting with Sri. Sarath O. M along with Green Ahalia team. Finally, we also took the BSI team to Ahalia Heritage Village (Heritage Museum) and Sculpture Park with professional explanations by Dr. Varma. Dr. Mao was apparently happy and impressed with the activities under taken by Ahalia International Foundation and the green vision of the Chairman Dr. V. S. Gopal. He expressed his good wishes to Ahalia group and promised their full support and guidance in our future endeavours.
