Green Ahalia @ 40th theme

On 26 February 2024 a new theme garden namely Kandal Kazhcha a garden of mangrove plants was inaugurated by planting a sapling of Mangrove species by Dr. P Sujanapal Principals Scientist, Kerala Forest Research Institute, Peechi. In all 7 species were planted in the garden with multiple saplings of each species.
In connection with this Green Ahalia has organised a lecture on Mangroves by Dr Sujanapal. Students from Ahalia Public School, ASPS ,Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College, Ayurveda college interns , Students from Mercy college were present at the lecture. The lecture by Dr. Sujanapalan covered all aspect of Mangroves and indicated their ecosystem services and conservation needs. Dr Haridasan consultant Green Ahalia, Dr. Sheba Sunil ,Principal Ahalia Ayurveda Medical college, Sri Sabik botanist Green Ahalia have also spoke at the occasion. After the session the visitor was taken round our theme gardens and conservatory plots. He appreciated the team for the good work at Ahalia and promised his continued support.
