New Dawn of Herbal Heritage at APS
On 10th January 2024 Green Ahalia in Association with Ahalia Public School established a unique herbal garden in Ahalia Public School. There are 22 species medicinal plants most of them with multiple utilities. These are planted in specially designed beds that have outline of geometrical shapes each painted differently. Over 120 students and several teachers, Principal Ms. Latha Prakash and Academic Director Ms. Nirmala Haridasan participated from the school along with the entire team of Green Ahalia (Shaibu, Sabik, Midhun and Aiswarya). OISCA South Indian Chapter, President Dr. Parvathy Warrier was the chief guest for the function and inaugurated the Garden. Ms. Anitha, former OISCA women chapter President also graced the occasion. Dr. K Haridasan, Consultant Green Ahalia briefed about the making of this herbal garden and the effort by Green Ahalia team. Dr Sheba Sunil, Principal Ahalia Ayurveda College in her speech offered their support for the venture and congratulated the APS and GA team for the effort. Ms. Nirmala Haridasan highlighted the relevance of this garden with NEP mandate and hoped it will add to skill development under Herbal Heritage. All the students actively involved in planting each species in the garden.
