P. Balakr. is a cactus like dwarf tree growing in arid dry zones. It is interesting because of the species that connects to a famous scientist Dr. Vajravelu of Botanical Survey of India who wrote the Flora of Palakkad. Dr. Haridasan brought this plant from his recent visit to JNTBGRI, Trivandrum.
